2014 Ford Explorer

The 2014 Ford Explorer is a strong, well-built machine designed to haul seven passengers through all weather conditions. The Explorer is ready and willing to handle the worst road conditions with its 4WD Terrain Management System. Ford has assured driving satisfaction thanks to modern technologies in the Explorer such as: Curve Control, Advance Trac with Stability control with its enhancements that enable the Explorer to virtually hug the road. The rear seats fold down which create ample room for cargo. The 2014 Ford Explorer offers either a four-cylinder or a six-cylinder engine, both providing better fuel economy than the Grand Caravan. Like the Grand Caravan, the Explorer receives high safety ratings and offers all the latest tech savvy features you could want.

2014 Dodge Grand Caravan

The Dodge Grand Caravan is the pioneer of the minivan and still sticks with a design that stays true to the original look. The 2014 Grand Caravan is powered by a six-cylinder engine with acceleration capabilities of doing 0 to 97 km/h in eight seconds, not too bad for a seven passenger vehicle! The interior is roomy and provides plenty of cargo space, especially if you take advantage of the Super Stow-N-Go seats, which disappear into the floor in seconds. The Grand Caravan brings you all the advanced technology and safety features one could ask for at the price that is affordable. However, the driving experience is not very good in comparison to the 2014 Ford Explorer, nor is the fuel economy. Price is close between the two competitors, in my opinion, not significant enough to factor into the decision.

And The Winner Is…

To have a passenger make the decision as to which is the better vehicle; one might, at first sight, get captured by the tranquil interior design of the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. Inside, the Grand Caravan is laid out in such an appealing way that you might want to plan a vacation just to enjoy its multi-person comfort.
But let’s get out of the minivan a minute and look at these two. The 2014 Ford Explorer clearly has a more modern-day design that I think would appeal to the majority, at least the ones with any taste. Now climb in behind the wheel and you will see that the Ford Explorer will hands down take the victory with much better handling, more accurate
