2014 Ford Fusion

2014 Ford Fusion

The 2014 Ford Fusion is amongst the best as a top competitor in the mid-size car category. This sporty design has a distinctive, impressive style. Inside, the seats are a bit on the firm side but overall comfortable. The controls are pleasing to the eye but confusing to the operator. Again a nicely laid out interior with an entourage of sophistication and class, but Ford could do a little better with the color contrast to break up the black on black, oh so dark look. The trunk is a good size and has a decent opening providing plenty of cargo space. For taller people, the back seat offers more space providing a more relaxing ride than that offered by the Nissan Altima. The 2014 Ford Fusion has a turbo charged four-cylinder that produces quiet and rapid acceleration. Fuel economy of the Fusion is good and comes in at an even match with the 2014 Nissan Altima. The Fusion does have an edge over the Altima by offering a hybrid model and all-wheel drive.

2014 Nissan Altima

Amongst the elites and matched against the Ford Fusion is the 2014 Nissan Altima. The Altima brings more torque and offers an optional 6-cylinder engine. Even with the extra power, Nissan has still managed to match gas consumption with the Fusion. With a nice smooth ride and large front seats that accommodate the larger driver, the Altima offers a pleasant and smooth ride. The navigation screen is a large 10″ cm color screen that fits elegantly into the cluster of controls. The Altima is front wheel drive and offers a smoother experience than the Fusion. This sporty family sedan offers rapid acceleration with the V6 option; however, it is not quite as fast as the 2014 Ford Fusion’s turbo-charged four-cylinder. The 2014 Nissan Altima features a unique design and different gadgets such as easy fill tire alerts that beep the horn when tire pressure is sufficient. This car seems to appeal to a wide audience being moderate in many areas.

And The Winner Is…

When considering the speed advantage, more spacious seating in the back, AWD and a much more stylish look; Congratulations Ford Fusion, you win this head to head competition. While both vehicles are really good cars, The Fusion has certain features that makes it come out a winner. Even with the price of the Altima being slightly better then the Fusion, the scales still seem to tip towards the Ford Fusion.
