2014 Toyota Sequoia

The 2014 Toyota Sequoia is a full-size SUV that is ready to hit the road with its truck like masculine form. Unlike other crossovers that are now leaning more towards to have a “sedan feel” by smoothening and taming their edges, the Sequoia revels on its chunkiness and truck-like structure. Largely based on the body of Toyota Tundra, the Sequoia adapts its tough and muscular design and its strong towing capability. This sets apart the Sequoia from its rivals since Sequoia manages to make itself distinct and full of character. It surely can mock and bully other crossover rivals on the road and say, “I’m the tough one.”
This truck-based SUV has excellent towing muscle and can seat up to eight passengers. The Sequoia offers quality ride and decent handling, along with comfortable and spacious cabin. The base model comes equipped with standard features, while the other trim levels offer advanced features comparable that most luxury vehicles have. The Sequoia might not be the perfect vehicle for everybody, but it works best for people who want to tow a big trailer and carry a small crowd at the same time. The Toyota Sequoia is a full-size SUV that can seat up to eight passengers or seven if you use the second-row captain’s chair. It is available in three trim models namely Limited, SR5, and Platinum. The 2014 Toyota Sequoia Canada price starts at $53,385.
The base model, SR5, is packed with many features that your family will surely enjoy. Some of the notable features include tri-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, power front seats, and Toyota’s Entune system that allows your smartphone to be connected and accessed through a 6.1-inch touchscreen. The SR5 model has an option for Sport package upgrade, which replaces wheels with 20-inch alloy wheels and comes with second row’s captain’s chairs and a color–keyed grille.
The 2014 Toyota Sequoia has a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 381 horsepower, combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while four-wheel drive can be an option. In the previous versions of Sequoia, you can choose from different V-8 engines, until they dropped the 4.6-liter engine choice last year. They did it for the better since the present 5.7-liter engine today is a powerhouse, which can produce up to 381 horsepower and has great towing capability.

2014 Chevy Tahoe

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe is a true truck underneath, while having the convenience of an SUV for everyday use. The Tahoe comes with three rows and has a capacity to seat up to nine people. It has a strong towing capability that could pass expectations of customers who have towing needs. Its interior is comfortable, spacious, and not complicated—and without the unnecessary and often distracting flashy features. The Chevrolet Tahoe is more into getting the job done, after all. And indeed, the Tahoe delivers with its strong performance capabilities.
The Chevrolet Tahoe is not for everyone. If you’re not after its towing capabilities, you might want to opt for lighter crossovers because the Chevy Tahoe is actually a large and heavy vehicle that is used for heavy-duty purposes. If you need a vehicle just to just drive around the city, you might opt for lighter vehicles. But this doesn’t make Chevy Tahoe harder to love. If you are looking for some tough love, it is the vehicle to go. It is powerful, yet able to give you a quiet and comfortable ride. It is perfect for long drives on rural roads and it offers 108.9 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
The Chevy Tahoe comes in three available trims, namely LT, LS, and LTZ. The base model has some exciting standard features like tri-zone climate control, rear-view camera, and OnStar with six-speaker sound system. If you want to seat up to nine people, you have to get the LS trim because that’s the only trim, which has front bench seat. The LT model comes with additional fog lights, leather upholstery, and driver memory functions among others; while the LTZ includes the entire LT luxury package with few additional upgrades. The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe Canadian price starts at $51,580.
The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe has a 5.3-liter V8 engine that produces 320 horsepower, through a six-speed automatic transmission on either 2WD or 4WD. It has fuel economy ratings of 13.83 L/100km combined (15.68 L/100km city and 11.20 highway). The Chevy Tahoe, when properly equipped, can tow up to 3,900 kg.

And The Winner Is…

Though both are incredibly strong when it comes to towing, the winner here is the 2014 Toyota Sequoia. It is more powerful and it is comfort and convenient inside. The Toyota Sequoia tows like a champ with its effortless V-8 power and it rides comfortably. On the other hand, the Chevrolet Tahoe’s comfort is compromised with its hard-to-access third row seat. Its fold-down seats don’t fold away too.
